Alcohol Logistics experts, Johnston Logistics UK, have welcomed fellow Snetterton-based success story Edmunds Cocktails into their ever-expanding clientele of warehousing for drinks and alcohol.
With premises in both Bury St Edmunds, Suffolk and Snetterton, Norfolk, the producers of premium mixed cocktails have turned to their neighbours Johnston Logistics UK to help store and supply the glass bottles they use.
“Over the last few months, we’ve seen significant growth in demand for our delicious cocktails. We needed help handling our sustainable glass bottles and are thrilled to be working with Johnston Logistics UK. As we pride ourselves on being as sustainable as possible, it’s great to partner with such an experienced company right on our doorstep!” says Paul Mayes, co-founder of Edmunds Cocktails.
Established in July 2020, Edmunds Cocktails create readymade cocktails including Cosmopolitans, Old Fashions and Mojitos. Each recipe uses fresh ingredients and at least 50% premium spirits, all mixed by hand in Bury St Edmunds, Suffolk, from which their name is derived.
Looking for help to store empty bottles before they are filled, the cocktail specialists turned to Johnston Logistics UK who are a logistics partners for many alcohol brands, wholesalers and retailers. Over 50% of all the wine sold in Asda’s UK stores passes through Johnston Logistics UK’s site.
“We’re keen to help everyone in alcohol and drinks to optimise their logistics, so it’s fantastic to be supporting such a local success story in just their second year of trading! At the moment we’re storing several pallets a week of the sustainable glass bottles they use, but we’re confident this will grow as word spreads about their fabulous drinks!” states Iain Hill, Head of Commercial & Customer Services for Johnston Logistics UK.
Edmunds Cocktails make a feature of their fully recyclable packaging with a business-wide commitment to ensure they are environmentally sustainable. In addition, they have pledged to plant a tree for every box or one litre bottle of cocktail sold through their website.
