Everyone at Johnston Logistics UK (JLUK) is proud to have been associated with local charity EACH’s Ride for Life 2017. The cycling event saw cyclists from all over the region coming together to take part in a 200-mile cycle ride around East Anglia.
This year we supported the event which started and finished at our site in Snetterton.
The event raised over £23,000 for East Anglia’s Children’s Hospices. EACH cares for children and young people with life-threatening conditions across East Anglia and supports their families.
Rob McIndoe, Director at JLUK, said “We are proud of our long association with EACH. The charity is very local to us and we are delighted to have been able to help them raise thousands of pounds for the charity.”
He added “We were delighted to welcome all the riders to our site at the start and finish of this challenging ride.”
The riders stopped at EACH’s hospices at Quidenham (Norfolk), The Treehouse (Ipswich) and at Milton (Cambridge). These hospices are places where families feel safe, at home and where they can spend quality time together. The charity needs to raise £16,000 every day to provide their vital services which include specialist nursing care, symptom management support, short breaks, well-being activities, therapies and counselling; all meeting the individual needs of the child, young person and whole family.
