House-hold brand, Quorn Foods, have chosen Johnson Logistics UK to help them meet the demands of their strong growth in the UK.
Quorn Foods have selected the Norfolk-based logistics experts to receive, store and distribute ingredients and packaging, as they expand production at their Methwold factory.
“With such strong growth in Quorn’s popularity, we’ve had to use storage areas for increased production” says Christophe Evo, Head of Logistics at Quorn Foods. “We needed a dependable partner who could ensure our ingredients and packaging are stored and available when we need them. Now available in 19 countries, Quorn is produced in a number of UK factories including Methwold in Norfolk. Quorn is a meat-free protein source, made from a naturally occurring fungus which is grown and fermented. The result is high in protein, high in fibre, low in saturated fat and free from cholesterol. As an alternative to meat, its production creates just 10% of the carbon footprint.
Credited as the UK’s fastest growing food brand by The Grocer magazine, recent TV advertising and promotion has contributed to its success as a favourite with families across Britain. Originally embraced by vegetarians, it’s become increasing popular with meat lovers for its delicious taste and healthy benefits. They have recently extended their appeal with a range of vegan products.
