According to recent figures from Kantar Worldpanel, Britons spent an extra £67 million on alcoholic drinks in July alone, with the high temperatures encouraging thirsty consumers to turn to ice-cold refreshment.
At Johnston Logistics UK, we handle over 20,000 pallets of alcoholic drinks each year and certainly noticed the increase in demand too. Kantar Worldpanel’s recent analysis shows more shoppers visited the leading supermarkets, more frequently, and spent more money each time on drinks. ASDA saw sales rose 2.6% with our logistics helping them keep shoppers satisfied.
We’re proud to be one of the few HMRC Bonded Warehouses in East Anglia. Our approval means we can import, export and distribute beer, wine and spirits, whilst deferring tax and duties.
